Terms of Use
Last updated: September 30, 2026
These Terms of Use govern access to the LectureTranslate website, Admin app, Listener app, and related services. By using the service, you agree to these Terms.
The service
LectureTranslate helps organizations provide live translated captions and audio to invited listeners. Speech recognition and translation are automated services and may contain errors. The service must not be used as the sole source for emergency, medical, legal, safety-critical, or other high-risk decisions.
Accounts and organization access
Administrators are responsible for their organization account, its subscription, invite codes, and authorized users. Listener access requires a valid invite code. Keep administrator credentials and invite codes confidential; promptly revoke an invite code or contact support if you suspect unauthorized use.
Live-session responsibility
Organizations are responsible for the content they stream and for obtaining any consent, notice, or other permission required from speakers and attendees. Do not use the service to process unlawful content or to violate another person's privacy, intellectual-property, or data-protection rights.
Acceptable use
You may not attempt to bypass access controls, misuse invite codes, interfere with the service, probe or reverse engineer security protections, scrape data, submit malicious content, or use the service in a way that creates unreasonable load or cost for LectureTranslate or its providers.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid organization plans are billed through PayPal. Plan availability, price, renewal timing, cancellation, and payment status are shown during checkout or in the organization portal. PayPal's terms and policies also apply to payments processed through PayPal.
Third-party services
The service relies on third-party providers for authentication, hosting, speech recognition, translation, notifications, and billing. Their availability and policies can affect the service. We may change providers or technical components when reasonably necessary to operate or secure the service.
Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or product development. Where practical, we will provide notice of material changes.
Intellectual property
LectureTranslate and its software, branding, and documentation remain the property of their respective owners. Organizations retain responsibility for their session content. You grant us the limited rights needed to process that content solely to provide and improve the service.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms, security controls, or applicable law have been violated. Organizations may stop using the service and request deletion of completed sessions, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable retention obligations.
Contact and final terms
A dedicated service contact, legal entity name, governing law, and jurisdiction will be added before commercial launch. Until then, organizations should direct service questions through their registration contact.
Launch note: These Terms are a product draft and must be reviewed and completed with the service owner and qualified legal counsel before commercial launch.
